I clearly remember going to BIBA Kensington with my mum and big sister. We used to go to London every year for holidays, every year I would pray I’d grown enough to have a realistic chance of buying (or begging my mum to buy for me) their clothes.I bought their make-up and other things which didn’t rely on my age/size. I still have some of it, including a BIBA diary and my pride and joy………my BIBA address book. I still use it!!! It’s a bit battered now (must be 40 now) but it’s still possible to see the gold BIBA logo on the front.On my last visit before it closed down (sob sob!) I bought a white crochet skull cap, which was a little too big, but I reasoned with mum I would grow into it. I’ve still got that too!My mum owns the family jewels……a bottle of BIBA wine unopened.

My name is Biba Richardson. I am 11 years old. I was named after the Biba shop because when my mum was little her mother used to tell her about the shop in London with the flamingos and it sounded like her idea of heaven and so she called me Biba after that memory.I have a few original Biba items that my mum has found in charity shops over the years.

The X Factor finalists were out en force for Cosmpolitan’s Ultimate Woman of the Year Awards, X Factor is a total guilty pleasure and we admit it… we’re totally hooked. So, just imagine our excitement when we spotted our new style crush, Rebecca Ferguson, walking down the red carpet in Biba’s fabulous oyster silk gown. She looked divine; the perfect blend of demure glamour meets modern day starlet. Even if she doesn’t win X Factor (although we think she will) she’s definitely a winner in the style stakes.

Biba at Vogue’s Fashion Night Out

Last night was a truly glamorous affair, Biba was officially launched in House of Fraser Oxford Street and we had the Biba face; Daisy Lowe on hand to launch the brand in style.

The Biba Boutique looks incredible decked out in the trademark black and gold, with marabou feather chandeliers and rails of delicious dresses… a truly divine experience.

With the cocktails flowing, and the shopper’s spending, Daisy arrived looking stunning in her Biba military shorts and sheer vest

After posing for a few pics, Daisy watched our fabulous Biba fashion show and then sold our first Biba item… possibly the most gorgeous shop girl we’ve ever had.

Biba at Vogue Fashion Night Out

Vogue’s second Fashion Night Out will be taking place in London on 8th September, and never ones to miss out on a party we will be there holding a glamorous event in House of Fraser Oxford Street. We will also be joined by the incredibly gorgeous Daisy Lowe, who will be at our Biba Boutique on the second floor in House of Fraser from 6pm. Daisy will be officially launching the collection; and we will also be holding a fabulous fashion show. Molton Brown will be treating our customers to complimentary hand and arm massages, and the first 100 Biba customers will receive a free 100ml Paradise Pink Pepperpod bath and shower gel. This is not a night to be missed…
